The weather is finally getting warmer, which means that it’s almost time for summer and the TD-SRC Summer Reading Club at the Winnipeg Public Library.
The TD-SRC is a great way for kids to have fun and keep reading all summer. Studies have shown that children who continue to read during the summer reduce summer reading loss, and may improve their reading skills. It’s FREE to join at any branch, and everyone who joins will receive a bilingual reading kit to get them started. In addition, there are special programs happening at all of the public libraries in Winnipeg, as well as Library Day at the Ballpark on August 13. Registration begins on Saturday June 17th and the program continues throughout the summer until Friday August 18th.
