School Tipi

If you have stopped by the school lately, you may have seen something different in our school yard.
We have purchased a tipi from Joe Lancely, known as "Tipi Joe". He worked with our school in the spring as an artist teaching us about tipis and their history, as well as the seven teachings in Indigenous Education.
We strive to learn more about Indigenous culture as a learning community through the process of reconciliation. We will use our tipi as an outdoor classroom and also  as a learning space for Indigenous Education. Feel free to stop by and take a look inside.
