Snuggle Up and Read Day

Last Thursday was Cuddle Up and Read Day.
We all had lots of fun reading together in our pyjamas!

Book Swap

Last week, students enjoyed our annual Book Swap for I Love to Read Month!
Every student who brings in books, takes home different books to read.

Remember, we also have our Little Free Library in front of the school. You may take books out of it anytime you wish, anytime of the year. If you have books to donate to the school, please give them to the office.

We also have a Parent Book Exchange by the school office. Please feel free to use this as a way to exchange books with others.

Friendship Tournaments

Last week, we hosted Friendship Tournaments for our Grade 4 and 5 basketball clubs. We invited Assiniboine, Brooklands, and Linwood Schools to join us for 2 fun-filled afternoons. All students showed great sportsmanship, played hard and had fun!

On behalf of all the staff at Stevenson, thank you so much for all your generous donations of all kinds of food and treats for Staff Appreciation Week! We feel very spoiled!
We are very fortunate to work with such caring and kind families at Stevenson!

Practice for Emergencies

During the course of a school year, we are mandated to practice 10 fire drills, 2 lockdown drills and 1 tornado drill to prepare our students in the event there is an emergency. Staff will have reviewed procedures with children before emergency measures practices take place. We will only notify home in the event of a real crisis. We have already held our first 6 fire drills of the year. Today, we practiced our first lockdown drill of the year. Please do not hesitate to call the school if you need any clarification.
