Dear Parents,
On Wednesday, June 21, we will be hosting a
cultural awareness activity day. There will be activities throughout the day
from many of our cultures represented at our school. Thank you to the families
who have responded to our requests for activity ideas, volunteers, and food to
share.
The day will look like this:
10:30am – 11:30am Activities (Students
will choose activities they wish to visit.)
11:40am – 12:40pm Lunch (Food
from several different cultures will be offered.)
1:00pm – 2:00pm Activities (Students
will choose activities they wish to visit.)
For the cultural lunch, there will be a
sampling of various foods from several different cultures offered to students.
They may try what they like. We have asked that all food being served has the
ingredients listed, so that we can keep those with food allergies safe.
Please send your child to school with a
regular lunch from home that day, as we cannot be sure that students will want
to eat the different foods. Also, know that if your child comes home with all
their lunch still in their lunch kit, it means that they tried and liked the
cultural food sampling. We will make sure students all get enough to eat.
